Welcome to Renton River Adventures
Renton River Adventures is a family-run business guiding and outfitting some of the most fabled rivers on the West Coast. With more than 50 years of combined experience, fly fishing is our life and passion. Waters include the North Umpqua and Deschutes rivers in Oregon as well as rivers and streams of Prince of Wales Island in Southeast Alaska. Targeting steelhead and trout throughout the year, focusing on hatches, fish returns, and seasons, Renton River Adventures aims to create a fun and safe adventure for all anglers.
North Umpqua River and Deschutes River Fly Fishing
Renton River Adventures offers Oregon fly fishing trips on the best rivers, hatches, and fish runs in Oregon and in Southeast Alaska. This includes both summer and winter steelhead fishing and guided trout fishing. Winter steelhead fly fishing in the Umpqua Basin runs from the middle of December through early April. Both swinging and drifting can be done depending on which section of river we fly fish. The spring Alaska fishing season is short, running from the early April to the first week of May. Like winter steelhead in Oregon, these fish return from the ocean sexually mature and can be quick to spawn. We are professional Oregon fly fishing guides that will get you in on the best fly fishing action our local rivers have to offer.

Deschutes salmon fly season begins around Mid-May into early June and at this time we fish with stoneflies. Hatches of various species of mayflies and caddis also present during the spring trout season on the Deschutes, creating an excellent opportunity to enjoy dry fly action. Trout fishing trips are available through the entire spring and summer months. Following the stoneflies during the warmer days of summer, caddis make for a common Deschutes trout food-source. During the fall months Renton River Adventures is located completely on the Lower Deschutes focusing on swinging flies. By the end of September, steelhead are spread through the entire Deschutes, including the Trout Creek to Maupin section. By October, Deschutes trout begin to feed on fall hatches including the October Caddis.
Join the Renton River Adventures crew on one of our multi-day camp trips. From the Deschutes to the North Umpqua, winter to fall, our team works to provide the best in fly fishing camp trips.
